Come inSide the Design.
The finished room is only the last chapter. Before the reveal comes the measuring, sourcing, second-guessing, problem-solving, contractor conversations, material decisions, styling edits, and the occasional piece that changes the whole direction of a room.
inSide Livable Designs is where that part of the story gets to live. This is the journal behind the studio — a closer look at how rooms actually come together, why certain choices work, what catches my eye, what I leave behind, what I bring home, and how real life always has a seat at the design table.

Behind the Design
A beautiful room rarely begins with the beautiful part. It begins with plans spread across a table, dimensions checked twice, questions asked on site, and decisions that may never show up in the final photograph. Here I share the work that happens before installation day — measurements, layouts, contractor conversations, material choices, revisions, and the small corrections that keep a project moving in the right direction.
This is where you get to see why the details matter. Not just what I chose, but what I was looking for, what had to change, and how the design moved from an idea into a room that actually works.

The Hunt
Sourcing is part research, part instinct, and part patience. I can walk through a showroom, material library, lighting gallery, antique market, or warehouse and pass a hundred perfectly good things waiting for the one piece that makes me stop. The right piece has to do more than look good — it has to bring the correct scale, character, finish, function, quality, or tension into the room.
Come along for the search: new introductions, vintage finds, fabrics, stone, lighting, furniture, hardware, and the unexpected things that were never on the original list but somehow end up making the room.

Designer Notes
There are design rules worth knowing, rules worth bending, and a few that deserve to be ignored completely. Designer Notes is where I talk through the reasoning behind better rooms — scale, proportion, lighting, color, furniture placement, materials, styling, common mistakes, and those little decisions that can make a room feel noticeably more resolved.
Expect practical advice, strong opinions when I have them, and explanations that go beyond “because it looks better.” Good design is easier to understand when someone tells you why it works.

Room Redesign
Not every room needs to be gutted or replaced from top to bottom. Sometimes the biggest transformation comes from changing the layout, correcting the scale, editing what is already there, replacing one weak element, or finally giving the room the focal point it has been missing.
Room Redesign breaks those choices down. We will look at furniture arrangements, rugs, art, lighting, styling, color, and the before-and-after thinking that turns a room from “something is off” into a space that finally makes sense.

The Livable Life
Design does not happen in a vacuum. The way we travel, dress, entertain, collect, rest, work, cook, celebrate, and move through our days all influences the spaces we create. So does art, architecture, old things, new ideas, nature, places, people, and the ordinary moments that make home feel like home.
The Livable Life is the more personal side of the journal — the inspiration and everyday living around the work. Because a home can be polished and beautiful without becoming precious. It should still have room for coffee cups, conversations, pets, family, quiet nights, changed plans, and actual life.

Come for the beautiful rooms. Stay for everything that happened before they became beautiful.
